Mirriam Mwongela

Ms. Mirriam Mwongela is an experienced communication professional passionate about leveraging the power of mass media and public relations to inform communities. With a background in journalism, broadcasting, and public relations, Ms. Mwongela excels in creating comprehensive strategies to advance organizational goals.

As a strategic communication and public relations expert, Ms. Mwongela offers proven leadership in media relations, internal communications, event planning, and community programming. She is also skilled in videography, photography, and top-notch editing, enhancing her ability to create impactful visual content.

Ms. Mwongela is an active member of the Association of Women in Media in Kenya (AMWIK), where she collaborates with over 300 women in media across the country to elevate women’s voices and concerns. Through AMWIK, she contributes to raising awareness and advocating for gender equality and social change using media platforms.

In her role as Communications Officer at EACHRights, Ms. Mwongela manages the organization’s online presence by developing and implementing social media strategies. She leads campaigns and projects across various social media channels, creates engaging content, analyzes usage data, and facilitates customer service, contributing significantly to the organization’s communication efforts.
