It is during the first national conference on FGM whose subject matter was, “Ending FGM is a Political Decision – Building Bridges for Elimination of FGM in Kenya” that EACHRights under the Watoto Wetu project got recognition as a Civil Society Organization (CSO) that is at the forefront of eradicating FGM.
From the conference, both state and non-state actors dialogued, shared best practices in the elimination of FGM and disseminated key related documents.
