In November 2017, EACHRights and The Girl Generation conducted a capacity building training for members of Marsabit County Assembly on Child Rights Governance. The conversation themed, “Investing in Our Children: Child-Friendly Budgeting at the County Level” quested Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) to invest in children by ensuring that budgetary allocations are child-friendly and child-sensitive. It also intended to remind MCAs their duty to ensure accountability and transparency in planning, disbursement, and utilization of finances targeted for child-friendly services at the county level.
