PROJECT MANAGER

He has specialized in human rights and peace building projects in Kenya through advocacy on land & labor rights, transitional justice, devolution, gender equality, prevention of Gender-Based Violence and harmful cultural practices. During his tenure at the Mombasa Catholic Justice and Peace Commission (MCJPC), Marcelino successfully mediated between the Kamba and Maasai communities who were feuding over River Njukini water resources in Taveta Sub County. He achieved this under the USAID-funded Kilifi-Taveta peace building project. He graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and has also benefitted from extensive training in Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning (MERL), data quality management, resource mobilization, peace building, conflict management and finance & grants management. Marcelino’s vast geographical scope of work is also evident, having implemented projects in urban informal settlements of Nairobi, Garissa, Kajiado, Kilfi, Kwale, Lamu, Marsabit, Mombasa, Taita Taveta, Turkana, Uasin Gishu counties.
