Meet Fredrick K. Kinama
Fredrick K. Kinama is an accomplished Finance Advisor with over a decade of experience in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with donor regulations across diverse non-profit organizations. His expertise spans financial management, budgeting, reporting, and capacity building for finance teams, with a strong focus on managing multimillion-dollar projects in East and West Africa, particularly in WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) initiatives and educational programs.
He possesses a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Switzerland Centre for Management University and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA) and a Diploma in Business Management between 2016 and 2021, he worked as Finance Manager at UPR Info Africa. Prior to that he worked as Finance Advisor for Ignite the Orphan Africa-Kenya where he managed regional office accounting systems, ensuring adherence to procurement and financial policies and provided strategic oversight in financial management and risk assessment to sustain project operations. He also worked as Finance Advisor – West Africa Region for Tearfund UK, Liberia (WASH projects) where he oversaw financial management of €10.7 million in ECHO and Irish Aid funded projects and developed budgets, managed financial reporting, and ensured donor compliance.
In addition, he has previously served as Program Accountant with Aga Khan Foundation-East Africa (Education Programs) where he managed financial reporting processes ensuring adherence to donor requirements and implemented enhancements in financial systems and conducted capacity building initiatives
