PROJECT MANAGER
Marcelino Thuku is a Project Manager currently working under the Watoto Wetu project at EACHRights. He graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and also holds a post-graduate diploma in Shipping from the Institute of Chartered Ship brokers (United Kingdom) and certificate in Maritime studies from Bandari College, Mombasa. Marcelino has extensive experience in implementing human rights advocacy and peace building projects in Kenya. Prior to joining EACHRights, he was a Programme officer at Kituo Cha Sheria and also worked with the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission, Mombasa as a project officer and thereafter Project Coordinator. Marcelino has also benefitted from extensive training in monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning (MERL), data quality management, resource mobilization, finance and grants management and peace building and conflict management.
Marcelino’s professional goal is to advance his experience and skills in community development, advocacy and peace building whilst empowering community members advocate for their civil, political and socioeconomic rights. He can be reached at marcelino@eachrights.or.ke
