Access to Justice

The Constitution of Kenya recognizes that Kenyans aspire to have a government that is based on human rights, equality, freedom, democracy, social justice and the rule of law. To this end, the Access to Justice Program is designed to increase the accessibility and effectiveness of services provided by justice and governance institutions to all Kenyans and especially the vulnerable and marginalized groups. This programme seeks to challenge economic and social rights violations perpetrated against these groups by enabling them access remedies through engaging with the justice system, state and non- state actors using legal (public interest and strategic litigation), administrative and other action.
